No two sleeping bags the same

A sleeping bag must meet different requirements for everyone. Together with you in our studio, we will look for the right fit, insulation value and ticking material.
We can then adjust the sleeping bag to your particular requirements. Draft trunk, hood or some extra down in the foot of the bag, are some of the many options. All sleeping bags come standard with a roll cover and a storage bag.
You can, of course, have a zip-in sheet made immediately to extend the life of the sleeping bag even further.

Tick material
There are 3 different tick materials available:

• Cotton                 - 100 gr/m²
• Microfiber           - 55 gr/m²
• Nylon XTR Light - 33 gr/m²

You can also choose different materials for the inner and outer tick.

The prices mentioned here are based on a sleeping bag made out of cotton, microfiber or a combination of both. Nylon XTR Light is considerably lighter, and slightly more expensive.

Filling material
Tatteljee uses 90% goose down with 10% down feathers as standard, and can also deliver 100% goose down. Although down has a better insulation value, synthetic filling is also an option: for example, in cases of down allergy.
We can adjust the filling weight to your personal wishes in a variety of ways. It is possible to make the sleeping bag warmer or less warm locally, for example at the foot end.
We can also top up your existing sleeping bag, should you need extra insulation for a special trip, or if the sleeping bag no longer meets your requirements.
 

Model
The choice of a sleeping bag model is very personal, and often difficult to determine in advance.  A blanket model can be used as a duvet at home. Due to the smaller surface, a mummy model is lighter and warmer, and therefore better suitable for lightweight camping. In our studio we have a special fitting model, in which you can try out different sizes.
 

Measure
Too tight a sleeping bag is uncomfortable and too spacious a sleeping bag unnecessarily heavy, as well as less insulating.
The ideal length for a blanket model is your height, plus 25 cm.
A hooded model must be approximately 45 cm. longer than body length. A width of 80 cm. is standard, 90 cm. can be extra comfortable.
 

Price and weight
The final price and weight of a sleeping bag depends on your wishes, the dimensions and the insulation value.
Regarding the price of the tick material: Cotton and Microfiber are the same price,
Nylon XTR Light is slightly more expensive.
The prices and weights below (in grams), are based on the standard version of the model, and a standard height of 180 cm, unless otherwise specified.

Calculation model required area in m² for Canezzo and Corniche:

1.  body height in meters + 25 cm
2. 2x width (for example 2 * 80 cm) in meters

     Surface area = outcome 1 * outcome 2

Cannezzo
A blanket model sleeping bag that can be made in any desired length and wdth. The standard version is 2,05m x 1,60m, for a height of 1,80 meter.
The big advantage of a blanket model sleeping bag is that it can be used both when travelling, and at home, as a duvet.
This sleeping bag is ideally suited to connect to our ThermoCombi, so that you carry less weight with two people.

Canezzo - total weight and total price with 100% down and options outer tick/inner tick Cotton and/or Microfiber for height 1,80 meter.

Corniche
A beveled blanket model. From the hip down, the width of sleeping bag decreases from 160cm to 110cm. Therefore, the Corniche is lighter and smaller than the Canezzo.

The Corniche can also be combined with the ThermoCombi. In this case, the foot end of the ThermoCombi tapers, along with the sleeping bag.
Filling weight and total weight are based on the size 205x160/110; however the Corniche can be made in any desired length and width.

Corniche extra light: filled with 100% goose down and both outer and inner tick from Nylon XTR Light (33 gr/m²).

Yeti 
A beveled sleeping bag with a hood over half the width of the bag. The hood has a raised edge, which can be closed securily around the head for extra warmth. The Yeti has a draft seal at the zipper, which merges into the edge of the hood.

A full length zipper is standard for the Yeti, however a shorter zipper is possible upon request.
Standard size is 2,30 x 1,60/1,10m, based on a body length up to 1,75m, though the Yeti can be made in any size.

Yalta
A sleeping bag up to hip height; also called 'elephant's leg'. The Yalta is used in combination with a down jacket to save weight.
Standard size is 1,25 -1,40/1,00 meter, standard filling with 100% down and executed in 27gr/m² Nylon XTR Light tick. The Yalta is custom made, so can come in any size or material.
